Friday Blog Hop (6) Follow Friday (5)

Friday Blog Hop is hosted by Jenn at Crazy-For-Books.   It is a weekend long Book Party giving bloggers a chance to get to know each other and access to new blogs that we all might enjoy! If you haven't stopped by to give the hop a look I highly suggest that you do! Also every week there is a new question posted for us at answer this weeks question is...

"Pick a character from a book you are currently reading or have just finished and tell us about him/her."

I just finished Starcrossed by  Josephine Angelini , Helen is the name of the main female character in this book.  She is a not so normal teenaged girl.  She doesn't want to be popular or stand out she just wants to float by under the radar hoping that no one notices the things about her that are a little different.  She seems to have a great relationship with her father and has a great friend named Claire.  Her life gets turned a little upside down when a new family moves to the island that she lives on. From then on there is love, hate, excitment and danger in her future, and she faces it all pretty well in my opinion.  But instead of reading this you should be trying to get a copy of Starcrossed and be meeting Helen for yourself, I'm sure you will like her and that you will love her story.  Now go...quirt reading this and go introduce yourself to Helen! lol

Follow Friday is a weekly meme hosted by Parajunkee, every week we all get together to answer a question and find new blogs that we enjoy. This weeks question is

Q. Do you have anyone that you can discuss books with IRL? Tell us about him/her.

I am very luck to have a close friend who is just as addicted to reading as I am, She never goes anywhere with out her Nook or a book, and at any given point in time I am pretty sure I could pop open the trunk of her car and enter a mini library lol.  We have gone to book signings together and we enjoy the same genres so it is nice to be able to discuss a book or laugh at stupid quotes and such with someone. Although no matter the reason either one of us calls the other for we always end up talking about books in the end.  We have helped each other find some pretty good books through out the years and I'm sure we will continue to throw books at each other and say "read this now!!"

I can't wait to hop around and read everyone elses answers =o)

  2. It's awesome you have a good friend to share your reading with! I wish I did. I don't think that many of my real life friends would even want a Nook, it's so sad. :( Oh well though, at least I get to share my books with my online friends!

Anyway, I am your newest follower as well for the FF... please hop on over to my blog to follow me back thanks! :)

I just wish we liked the same genres, although you wouldn't know Stephanie Plum if it wasn't for me!!! Love you and your blog is awesome!!!

  11. Wow! That sounds fun. I've never been to a book signing or met an author or anything like that. I can imagine that if the opportunity came up (as in I learn about it ahead of time) I wouldn't have anyone to go with.
